My approach

I approach photography as a form of storytelling. Not by showing everything, but by reducing the number of clues and leaving space for the viewer to discover their own meaning.

Over time, my work has evolved from traditional portraiture to a more conceptual and intuitive approach. I’m interested in moments where movement, fabric, wind, and body language create something that feels almost like a quiet performance.

My work is guided by the trust we build during the session and a deep attention to human expression.

The way I film

Every session is a collaboration, an intimate space where my subjects can move freely and express themselves authentically.

I favour natural light and instinctive movement, focusing on fleeting moments that feel honest and unguarded.

Before each shoot, I discuss ideas with my clients to ensure the final images reflect both my artistic vision and their unique presence.

My inspo

I approach each photoshoot as the creation of a unique world tailored to your preferences and needs. This ensures my sources of inspiration are constantly evolving.

However, there are core influences I always draw from: avant-garde fashion, modern dance, and dystopian films.

About me. Kristina Chimbaraite — Conceptual Portrait Photographer in Europe

About me

My work moves between portrait, movement, and ritual, often shaped by wind, water, and the fragile moments where something begins to transform.

I photograph people who feel deeply and defy the ordinary. Not necessarily the loud ones, but those who stay open and curious about life, emotion, and art.

Most of my images are created outdoors, by the sea, where the landscape becomes more than a background: a quiet collaborator that guides, listens, and gives hints. Each session is a space for exploration, where instinct, presence, and the subtle poetry of a moment take shape.
